Global Crop Protection Company Hires RAC For Recladding Work
Nufarm Ltd, based in Bradford, which manufactures a range of top quality crop protection products, called in RAC to reclad one its site buildings.

The work entailed the erection of a 14m high and 60m in length scaffold to facilitate stripping the building of its existing asbestos cement sheeting, which was carried out in a controlled way and in compliance with all current legislation.

An ergonomically coloured steel clad sheeting to complement and blend in with the surrounding countryside was then installed.

The work, which was completed within a strict timetable in order to minimise inconvenience to Nufarm was carried out by highly trained and skilled staff who all have experience of working in a high risk environment.

Method and risk assessment plans were made available to Nufarm two weeks in advance of the start of work to allow time for adjustments and refinement.

Robert Stocks, engineering manager at Nufarm, said:
